It Takes a Village ( or ITAV for short) is a community-centered program that creates alternatives to the traditional centralized system. By focusing on locally sourced caregiving networks and educating areas on what services are there, this project explores how people who live within neighborhoods can contribute to the childcare centers.
This project aims to minimize the issue of finding proper childcare, stress of trustworthy caretakers and reduce the commute time to and from the centers by giving neighborhoods the education and incentive to form their own affordable and accessible childcare centers themselves.
Because it takes a Village to raise a child.
